I have mentioned here before that I would like to run at least one marathon before I turn 40.
I also have - had - 39 other things I'd like to do before I reach the big 4-0, and I've been working away on those. I want to read all of Agatha Christie's novels; she wrote about 80, and I've read about eight of them so far.
I also want to knit a blanket, and right now I'm knitting squares with the eye to eventually sew them all together to make one big blanket.
I'm also trying to drum up my freelance writing business. It's been slow going, as I'm at home and don't want to take time away from my kids. But it's also been rewarding and challenging, and I've gotten to meet some incredible people and do some neat things along the way.
It's kind of fun to have these challenges, some of which are on-going, and others that are one-time things, like meeting a celebrity (still hasn't happened yet, and I'm not even all that picky about my definition of what constitutes as a "celebrity" any more).
What about you? Do you have any long-term personal goals?
