(I totally felt like writing "Yee-HAW!" after that title.)
I'd like to use this feature to highlight what's going on in the running world these days. I would also like to profile average Janes and Joes who are runners. Maybe it's your first time running, or maybe you just realized you ran your 1,000th mile. Perhaps you're training for your first or your fortieth marathon, and maybe you're returning to running after a major life change. Email me at MeghhrunsATgmailDOTcom, and I'll include it in the round-up.
This kid is fast. Like, whoa, fast. I barely send emails in the amount of time it took him to run one mile.
ESPNW has some tips on how to race like a pro. Too bad the model in the picture is clearly not running.
Todd Richards is live-tweeting the Chicago Marathon as he runs! Follow @todd_richards for more information. (He's raising money for American Cancer Society, so good for him.)
And here are some tips on how to find time to train for a full or half-marathon. I like the idea of scheduling runs and making them non-negotiable, like you would a doctor's appointment. Caveat: I can't imagine telling any boss I've ever had, though, that "Sorry, can't work on this project - I have to go home and run."
